Cash in your cowshed

Thu 02 Sep 2021

Back in early 2018 Shoulers launched our Cash in your Cowshed campaign which saw us working with and advising our existing and new agricultural clients to consider diversification as an alternative source of income generation, which has proven to be a great success!

Many of our formerly agricultural clients have become commercial landlords by investment in a change of use planning application and redevelopment of their redundant farm buildings.

With rents rising in the city centres, we are now finding occupiers moving to more rural areas, therefore seeing high demand for well-built quality commercial units across Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire

We have seen many successful redevelopment schemes take shape throughout our area of practice and Shoulers are proud to have steered these exciting schemes forward. We have provided advice on what needs to be put in place to find suitable occupiers and enable appropriate agreements to be drawn up by our legal affiliates.
This has enabled many new possibilities for diversification available to landowners or tenant farmers.

Shoulers are well placed to advise on the various considerations you should make before starting out on your new conversion project and have drawn up a checklist of things to consider – speak to our Commercial Team today, we can share examples of successful schemes already in operation and inspire you to turn your unused buildings into facilities for prosperous new avenues of business.

"Thanks for your update and for arranging return of our deposit, it is much appreciated. We’d like to thank Shoulers for all of your support and assistance during our rental. You were by far the easiest agent we had ever dealt with, and any issues we had were always swiftly dealt with by Carol and the maintenance team. Mr B – departing residential tenant, December 2019 "
