Getting rents right sees Shoulers occupy annual top local lettings agent position

Getting rents right is what Shouler & Son attributes its success in occupying the slot as top ranking local agent for residential property lettings across a twelve month period by Rightmove, the leading online property portal.

In its annual report, for January to December 2022, the portal identified Melton-based Shoulers as the leading agent for the number of residential lettings transacted in the Leicestershire postcodes LE13, LE14, LE15.

This broad sweep of postcodes includes key residential locations, villages and neighbourhoods within the Vale of Belvoir, the Stoke Rochford area and areas of Rutland including the market town of Oakham.

Rightmove’s monthly lettings transactions reports have, consistently, placed Shoulers in the lead position in the agency’s local patch since last summer (2022).

While attributing Shoulers’ consistent achievement as the top lettings transactions agent in the district to ‘getting rents right’, Dan Barradale, who heads the firms residential lettings agency service, reveals there is no magic formula.

He admits, “It is a hard slog. But we put boots on the ground to back up data and desk research.

“That Shoulers remains the top performing agent for transactions in successive months and now has been identified as the local leader for a whole year is a testament to the effort we put in to have the best insight.

“The market has hardened since the end of last summer and we have to be confident in our advice to landlords and tenants to move in either direction to secure a tenancy.

“After all, lettings instructions only become meaningful to all parties involved when they are transacted.”
