The letting of a Grade II Listed property on Leicester Street in central Melton Mowbray is the latest premises deal to be completed by the commercial agency of Shouler & Son.
Shouler & Son was the sole agent under the landlord’s instruction in the letting of 27/29 Leicester Street - a 2,500 sq ft double property - to House of Beauty by Bailey, a locally-based beauty business which has taken an initial three year lease.
House of Beauty’s founder and owner is Bailey Swinscoe. She started the business from a spare bedroom when she was 18 years old before leasing, also through Shouler & Son, a small unit in the town’s Bowley Court precinct.
During the three years at Bowley Court, the House of Beauty by Bailey business grew to a point where it needed much larger premises to accommodate the owner’s ambitious plans.
Prior to completing the letting of the new premises at 27/29 Leicester Street, the property was extensively refurbished in compliance with historical building guidelines and permissions.
The refurbishment project was overseen by Bailey Swinscoe who was determined to do justice to the original features of the Grade II Listed building as part of her vision for the next phase of House of Beauty.
Speaking about her new premises, Bailey said, “Taking on the building has given me the opportunity to expand my current team from six to 13 qualified beauty practitioners.
“In addition, these new premises also give me the space to move my salon business to its next phase which focuses on my academy through which I will offer opportunities to train for accredited beauty courses.”
