Gearing up for annual Christmas Fatstock Show & Sale

Shouler & Son is gearing up for next month’s annual celebration of the best of the Melton & Belvoir area’s farming and produce at Melton Mowbray Market on Saturday 03 December.
Established in Melton as a rural business since the mid-19th Century, Shoulers has a longstanding relationship with the show’s organisers, the Melton & Belvoir Agricultural Society (MBAS), and the Christmas Fatstock Show & Sale which stretches back decades.
This year, the firm will be sponsoring the One Heifer Class in the Commercial Cattle Section at what will be the 70th anniversary of MBAS’s Christmas show.
A much anticipated annual event in the regional rural calendar, the show moved to a Saturday for the first time in 2021 and was judged as a success by MBAS in attracting thousands of visitors from farming and non-farming backgrounds to the town on the new weekend day.
Announcing Shouler & Son’s renewal of its sponsorship support for the Christmas Fatstock Show & Sale again this year, Ben Shouler, Managing Partner, said, “For us, it’s a gala day to kickstart the festive season in the Melton & Belvoir area.
“As a business so rooted in the area and its rural scene, we have a natural affinity with the show and the work and aims of MBAS.
“We are always happy to fly the flag for this part of the region in supporting an event showcasing the quality of our farming and produce.”
