Shouler & Son has announced the appointment of a new head of its residential estate agency.

Richard Cleaver has joined the Melton Mowbray-based property practice as head of the estate agency department and senior valuer.

He joins Shouler & Son from John German Estate Agents where he was a senior valuer.

With 25 years’ experience in estate agency across the East and West Midlands and the London home counties, Richard also undertakes responsibility as Shouler & Son’s appointed anti-money laundering reporting officer across the firm.

Richard is a qualified and accredited domestic energy assessor for residential sales and lettings property categories.

He lives locally in Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire, is a keen speedway fan and began to learn to play golf during 2020’s lockdown.

Announcing the appointment of Richard as head of estate agency and welcoming him to Shouler & Son, Simon Allam, senior partner, said, “Our patch of the East Midlands market, with its market towns, village and hamlets and fine countryside, is proving to be perfectly placed in the post-pandemic manoeuvres of the regional property market.
